About Yvaine Coulter:

Yvaine Coulter is a teen author whose debut novel, Silk and Sin, was published in 2025 when she was just thirteen years old.

Born in Suffolk, England, Yvaine moved to Spain at the age of eight, where she found the inspiration for Silk and Sin in the mysterious halls of her former boarding school, Summerhill.

Yvaine has always been drawn to stories filled with secrets, suspense, and complex emotions. Her writing is inspired by the gripping tension of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson and the clever charm of A Girl Called Justice by Elly Griffiths. Although she’s never done ballet herself, her fascination with its elegance, discipline, and hidden darkness helped shape the haunting world of Silk and Sin’s protagonist, Nika Vetrova.

When she’s not writing, Yvaine enjoys drawing, reading, playing piano, and catching up on sleep (her favourite creative recharge). Silk and Sin marks only the beginning of her journey — Yvaine hopes to continue Nika and Dmitri’s story in future books.
